Wooden Composite Matting


Hybrid Technology Makes a Stronger and Lighter Wooden Mat



Like our traditional oak timber mats, our wood composite mats are constructed with steel bolts on four foot centers, impact-wrench tightened, countersunk, cut off and bradded to ensure that nuts are retained throughout the life of the mat. This mat can also be up to 40' long

They are available in all standard sizes:

  • 4' x 20' x 4" thick
  • 4' x 20' x 6" thick
  • 4' x 20' x 8" thick
                            

  • 4' x 18' x 4" thick
  • 4' x 18' x 6" thick
  • 4' x 18' x 8" thick

                            

  • 4' x 16' x 4" thick
  • 4' x 16' x 6" thick
  • 4' x 16' x 8" thick

In partnership with Anthony Hardwood Composites, Quality Mat has developed the hybrid mat, an engineered mat that enables heavy equipment to operate on unstable or soft soil conditions. Using engineered wood technology through laminating and bolting hardwoods into  solid mats, hybrid mats have higher load values than conventional heavy equipment mats that are twice the thickness of a hybrid mats.

The result is a mat that provides significant savings in handling and shipping, while performing better in the field over a longer service life.
